Osumi (Satellite)

Osumi (also Oshumi) is the name of the first Japanese satellite. It was launched on February 12, 1970 with a Lambda-4 rocket. The Osumi satellite weighed 12 kilograms. It circled the earth on an orbit with a perigee of 323 km and an apogee of 2440 km with an inclination of 31 degrees.
