Orlando Bosch

Orlando Bosch is a Cuban exile accused of a variety of anti-Castro political violence (considered terrorist attacks by both the Cuban government and the FBI, although many such acts are sponsored by the CIA). Most notably he is accused of the October 6, 1976 bombing of a Cuban civilian airliner and the murder of all 73 people on board. Bosch was jailed in Venezuela to await trial, but never convicted of these charges. After being released under mysterious cirumstances, Bosch was arrested in Florida in 1988 for a bazooka attack of a Polish freighter in 1968. A pardon was granted by President George H. W. Bush at the behest of many in the Cuban-American community and current Florida governor Jeb Bush. Otto Reich, who then had a diplomatic posting in Venezuela, has been accused of engineering Bosch's release.
