Organic Nonlinear OpticsOrganic nonlinear optics is a subfield of nonlinear optics that focuses on the interaction of light with organic materials such as polymers (i.e. plastics) and organic crystals. There are many kinds of materials that can be synthesized using the techniques of organic chemistry, so this subfield is much broader than inorganic nonlinear optics both in the number of materials studied and the wealth of nonlinear processes available for study.
