Orchard Court

Orchard Court is the given name for a small block of flats in Vicarage Road, Leyton, Waltham Forest, London, UK. Originally built in the late 1940's on the site of devastation created by the bombing of the nearby railway lines during the Blitz. In typical British fashion these apartments are small and cramped. Remarkably these units are now (2004) being sold for prices in excess of $200,000. A small group of apartments found in the urban setting of London, the apartments are small and they are surpingly expensive to own. Most residents are quite happy with the neighborhood, the only problem reported is frequent visits from an American family who sit on the garden wall and take family photographs.
