Ontario Provincial Highway 58

Ontario Provincial Highway 58 is a provincially maintained highway on the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario. Highway 58 currently runs from the Highway 406 junction in Thorold to the Highway 406 junction near Turner's Corners and from the Ontario provincial highway 58A junction south of Welland to the Niagara Regional Road 3 junction in Port Colborne. Highway 58 is a freeway between its junction with Highway 406 in Thorold and Niagara Regional Road 57 east of Thorold. Highway 58 travels through the following municipalities: St. Catharines, Thorold, Thorold South, Allanburg, Welland, and Port Colborne. It is within the Niagara Regional Municipality for its entire length. Highway 58 is 19.5 km in length. It is expected that a westward extension of Highway 420 will assume the routing of the freeway portion of Highway 58 west of the Thorold Tunnel. Renumbering the freeway portion of the highway will reduce the total length of Highway 58 by about 4 km. 58
