Ondo City

Ondo City is the largest city in Ondo state, Nigeria. It has a population of 517,062. Local industries include food processing and cocoa manufacture. Ondo City was founded by the Yoruba, the largest single ethnic group in Nigeria. It hosts Welsley University and the Adeyemi College of Education. Sports: Ondo has a 10,000 capacity stadium and a division two football professional team, The Works Footbal club. Companies in Ondo include Premier Metal Industry, John Holt, Coca Cola breweries, etc. Television and radio stations in Ondo include, NTA Ondo, Sunshine Radio Ondo. Hotels in Ondo include Sunny Sky, Adesuper Hotel etc. Ondo City is the trade center for a farming region. Yams, cassava, corn, and tobacco are grown. Cotton is grown and used to weave cloth. Ondo City is the largest producer of cocoa products.
