Oligosoma Stenotis

The common name is small-eared skink. It is found on Stewart Island, New Zealand. It was first described in 1994 by Geoff Patterson and Charles Daugherty (Journal of the Royal Society of New Zealand 24: 125 - 132). It is a moderately small (80mm s-v) skink, that lives in one of the most inhospitable (to lizards) environments on earth.
