Oldies

Oldies is commonly used in the United States to describe certain music from the 1950s, 1960s, and the 1970s. It generally describes the type of music, or format, that a radio station plays. Oldies are typically from the rock and roll, pop music, or country music genres. This format is sometimes called Golden Oldies. Oldies has some overlap with the classic rock format, which concentrates on the rock music of the 1970s and also plays newer material made in the same style.
