Old Major (Animal Farm)

Old Major is a fictional character from George Orwell's Animal Farm. He dies in the second chapter, but before he does, he inspires the other animals to rebel against their human master. With Animal Farm being parallel to the formation of the Soviet Union, Old Major was based on both Vladimir Lenin and Karl Marx.
