Off-model

Refers to the practice of drawing a cartoon character somewhat out of true with the original source material or model sheets. It's a common practice by both sloppy, inattentive artists and by cartoonists wishing to parody another franchise but not wishing to incur a lawsuit or commit copyright infringement by actually drawing someone else's characters.
