Nux Vomica

Nux vomica refers to Strychnos nux-vomica, a tree native to the East Indies, as well as its nut-like seeds, which are the souce of the alkaloid strychnine. The seeds also contain brucine. In homeopathy, Nux-v.as it is commonly abbreviated is one of the most commonly prescribed remedies.
