Norway At The 2004 Summer Olympics

Norway at the 2004 Summer Olympics was represented by The Norwegian Olympic Committee and Confederation of Sports. 53 athletes competed in 12 sports in Athens. Norway first participated in the 1900 Summer Olympics and has since competed in all Olympic summer games except for the 1904 games and the 1980 games which Norway boycotted. Historically, Norway's strongest sports have been sailing and shooting. Norway's flag bearer in the opening ceremony was Harald Stenvaag.

  • Stian Grimseth - +105 kg: Snatch: 185 kg (12th out of 17 contestants), but was injured during Clean & Jerk and failed to finish.

Wrestling

  • Fritz Aanes - Greco-Roman 84 kg: Won one match and lost one in the first elimination round, but failed to qualify for the next round.
