Northern Peigan

The Northern Peigans are a Native American tribe, part of the Blackfoot (Nitsitapii) nation. Also known as Pekuni or Apatohsipikani, they are very closely related to the Blackfeet of Montana (Amsskaapipikani). At the time treaties were signed, the Kainah were situated on the Oldman river, west of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to the west of the Kainah tribe.
