North Royalton, OhioNorth Royalton is a city located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 28,648. Originally incorporated as a village in 1927, it achieved the status of city in 1961. Geography North Royalton is located at 41°19'20" North, 81°44'47" West (41.322276, -81.746393). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 55.1 km² (21.3 mi²). 55.1 km² (21.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 28,648 people, 11,250 households, and 7,695 families residing in the city. The population density is 519.5/km² (1,345.9/mi²). There are 11,754 housing units at an average density of 213.2/km² (552.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 96.18% White, 0.71% African American, 0.12% Native American, 1.99% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.16% from other races, and 0.83% from two or more races. 0.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 11,250 households out of which 31.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.4% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% are non-families. 26.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.51 and the average family size is 3.11. In the city the population is spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.4 males. The median income for a household in the city is $57,398, and the median income for a family is $69,983. Males have a median income of $46,764 versus $31,173 for females. The per capita income for the city is $26,610. 2.3% of the population and 1.2% of families are below the poverty line.
