North Pembroke, MassachusettsNorth Pembroke is a census-designated place and village located in the town of Pembroke in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,913. Geography North Pembroke is located at 42°5'44" North, 70°46'41" West (42.095518, -70.777921). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 11.4 km² (4.4 mi²). 11.4 km² (4.4 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 2,913 people, 1,000 households, and 761 families residing in the village. The population density is 255.6/km² (661.8/mi²). There are 1,013 housing units at an average density of 88.9/km² (230.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.12% White, 0.45% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.41% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. 0.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,000 households out of which 40.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% are non-families. 19.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.85 and the average family size is 3.32. In the village the population is spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 32.0% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 35 years. For every 100 females there are 102.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.7 males. The median income for a household in the village is $73,542, and the median income for a family is $78,635. Males have a median income of $55,938 versus $38,190 for females. The per capita income for the village is $33,093. 5.7% of the population and 4.9% of families are below the poverty line.
