North Country Trail

The North Country Trail, more formally the "North Country National Scenic Trail," is a 4,000-mile long-distance trail being developed that begins near Lake Champlain in New York State, and traverses New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. In Ohio, it largely coincides with the Buckeye Trail as it loops around much of the state, and also coincides with the American Discovery Trail in southern Ohio. The North Country Trail is a non-motorized foot trail. To date, more than 1,700 miles of the full 4,000 have been located off-road, and the eventual goal is to relocate the entire trail off-road.
