Nick Mccabe

Nick McCabe is held by some to be one of the best guitarists ever. Played with The Verve during the 1990s. Born Nicholas Joseph McCabe on the 14th of July 1971 in St Helens. Nick McCabe was the youngest of three children and had a life greatly influenced by music, He lead a normal life training to be a Quantity surveyor until he met Richard Ashcroft at Winstanley college near Wigan. Ashcroft heard McCabes guitar jamming and thought he McCabe could "almost make the guitar talk". McCabe then united with Ashcroft along with Simon Jones and Peter Salisbury to form the Verve. Musically Nick has always expressed his fondness of synthesizers and explained his 'psychadelic' sound as trying to make a guitar sound like a synthesizer by using effects pedals and Valve Amps. Nick has currently remixed a single for 'The Music' but it is unknown what musical collaborations he is to participate in in the future.
