Ngee Ann Polytechnic

right Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the second oldest of five polytechnics in Singapore, was founded in 1963. It has an enrolment of 14,162 fulltime diploma students. Polytechnic education has become increasingly popular in Singapore. Each year, about 40% of secondary school leavers enrol in the five polytechnics. Ngee Ann Poly held its 2005 open house from 19 to 22 January 2005. More than 16,000 visitors showed up at its campus to find out more about the courses offered. This year, four new courses have been added - Health Sciences (Nursing), Chinese Studies, Product Design & Innovation and Electrical/Electronic&Computer/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering (a new diploma with common 1st year pathway).
