Newspaperindex.com is a comprehensive index of free online editions of major quality newspapers in every country in the world. Founder Hans Henrik Lichtenberg, a journalist from Denmark, writes about why he chose to start a site basically containing nothing but direkt links to the world's major newspapers: "First of all because I am journalist. I need this site as a tool in my daily work. I have been searching for media databases like this. Most projects alike have not kept their focus on general news, politics, economics etc. Unfortunately they included news sources of low quality and sites with very specialized media. And what is worst, the links have been broken or the URLs have been hard to remember. I simply want to do that better to provide you easy access to major national and daily updated news sources from all over the world, whether you are journalist, researcher, online media designer, concerned traveler or student."
