Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 193 people, 85 households, and 61 families residing in the borough. The population density is 266.1/km² (686.0/mi²). There are 86 housing units at an average density of 118.6/km² (305.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 98.45% White, 1.04% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.52% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.04% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 85 households out of which 29.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.1% are married couples living together, 4.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% are non-families. 25.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.27 and the average family size is 2.71. In the borough the population is spread out with 20.2% under the age of 18, 2.1% from 18 to 24, 28.0% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 23.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 45 years. For every 100 females there are 83.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.5 males. The median income for a household in the borough is $37,750, and the median income for a family is $45,833. Males have a median income of $35,625 versus $19,167 for females.
