Net YarozeNet Yaroze (yarozei, or phonetically ya row zey vb. means "Let's do it together!" or "Let's work together!") was a product promoted by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997 to get computer programming hobbyists familar with the PlayStation development environment so that they could make video games for the PlayStation console system. For about $750 USD, the Net Yaroze package would contain a special debugging black-coloured PlayStation unit with no regional lockout, documentation, and software. The user would still had to provide a personal computer (IBM-PC or Macintosh) to write the computer code, compile it, and send the program to the PlayStation. The Net Yaroze lacks many of the features the full Playstation developers suite provides such as advance hardware/software tools and Sony's extensive technical support such as live telephone support. Many games made by hobbyists on the Net Yaroze were released on various demo discs that came along with the Official PlayStation Magazine during the late 1990s. External links
