National Resistance Movement

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) is a political organisation, which claims to not be a party, in Uganda. It is led by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of Uganda, and is the only effective political movement in the country. It began as the political and public relations adjunct to the rebel National Resistance Army before Museveni came to power in 1986.
