National Patriotic Party

The National Patriotic Party is a political party in Liberia. It was the party of President Charles Taylor, who was elected in 1997 and forced out of office in 2003. Its chairman is Cyril Allen. In the 1997 elections, it took 21 of the 26 Senate seats, and 49 of 64 in the House of Representatives of Liberia.
