National Intelligence Achievement Medal

The National Intelligence Achievement Medal is a decoration of the National Intelligence Agency of the United States which has been in existence since the 1970s. The medal is awarded for general meritorious service to the mission of the National Intelligence Agency and may be awarded for a variety of accomplishments. The medal is considered junior to the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal. Due to the amount of active duty military personnel, who perform duties under the authority of the National Intelligence Agency, the National Intelligence Achievement Medal is an authorized decoration for display on uniforms of the United States armed forces. In such cases, the National Intelligence Achievement Medal is worn after all U.S. military awards and before any foreign decorations.
