National Aquatics Center

The National Aquatics Center (NAC) is located in Abbotstown, Blanchardstown, Ireland. It is the home of Irish Swimming, with fantastic facilities such as its 50m competition pool, diving pool, leisure center and hugh stands. It was completed and opened in 2003. It hosted the Special Olympics in August 2003 and the European SC Championships in December 2003. In January 2005, the center sustained roof damage during a brief period of stormy weather. Subsquentially it had to be closed for several months in order to receive repairs.
