Mystery Writers Of America

The Mystery Writers of America are an organization for mystery writers. The organization was founded in 1945 by Clayton Rawson, Anthony Boucher, Lawrence Treat, and Brett Halliday in New York. They present the Edgar Award, a small bust of Edgar Allan Poe, every year. Their headquarters is located at 17 East 47th Street, 6th floor, New York NY 10017.
