Munk Centre For International RelationsAn adjunct to the University of Trinity College in Toronto, Canada, the Munk Centre was opened in 2001, and serves as a nexus for International Relations studies at the University of Toronto. It also houses the John W. Graham Library of Trinity College, and boasts some lovely formal gardens. Located in the former Devonshire House residence buildings, the centre is named after Toronto businessman Peter Munk of Barrick Gold. Munk made a major donation that funded the construction of the centre; though this support enabled the completion of the centre, it was often criticized by members of the U of T community because of the business practices of Barrick Gold, among other reasons.
