Mr. Darcy

Mr. Darcy is a main character in Jane Austen's classic work, Pride and Prejudice. He is famously associated with Colin Firth, who portrayed the popular literary character in the film adaptation, Pride and Prejudice (BBC) in 1995. Mr. Darcy "is quite the most handsome and eligible bachelor in the whole of English literature", according to the Penguin Classics printing of the memorable text, and few are inclined to disagree. His romance with Elizabeth Bennet is considered "one of the most perfect... of romantic love stories," as said by Ms. Vivien Jones.
