Mount Nebo (Utah)

Mount Nebo is the southernmost, and tallest, mountain in the Wasatch Range of Utah. Named after the Mount Nebo of Jordan, which is said to be the site of the death of Moses, it is the centerpiece of the Mount Nebo Wilderness Area, inside the Uinta National Forest. Reaching 11,928 feet at its highest point, parts are covered in snow from mid-November until July. It is a popular, although strenuous, destination for hikers from the nearby town of Nephi, and the city of Salt Lake City.
