Motxo

  kalimotxo
Motxo is a beverage made by mixing red wine (young, slightly fruity) and Coca-Cola (it is very important not to use any other brand). The proportion of both ingredients must remain around 50%, modified to taste. One can also add blackberry liqueur. It is served cold. Motxo is a shortened form of kalimotxo, of Basque-language (Euskara) origin; the x is pronounced like an English-language ch, but the name is now common throughout Spain, somtetimes respelled calimocho according to Spanish language orthography.
