Mose Allison

Mose John Allison Jr. (born November 11, 1927) is an American jazz/blues pianist, singer, and songwriter. Born in Tippo, Mississippi, he moved to New York City in 1957. His songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, The Who, Van Morrison and others. The Pixies song "Allison", from their album Bossanova (1990), is about Mose Allison.
