Mortimer Planner

Mortimer "Planno" Planner, born in 1920 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a Rastafarian elder, and is considered one of the ideological founders of this back-to-Africa religion. He is best known as a rasta teacher of Bob Marley, and as the man who persuaded Haile Selassie to leave his aeroplane and face the 100,000 Rasta worshippers waiting for him at Kingston airport on Selassie's visit to Jamaica.
