Moonquake

A moonquake is the lunar equivalent of an earthquake. They were first discovered by the Apollo astronauts. Moonquakes are much weaker than earthquakes, as the Moon's core is colder and it has a solid mantle, unlike the Earth which has a liquid mantle. Moonquakes may be responsible for transient lunar phenomena.
