Monothought

Monothought is a linear, sequential, symbolic form of thinking. It is the usual form of analytical thinking practiced in the Occident, a way of thinking which hypertrophies the "left" brain while blocking the development of the "right" brain. In mathematics, monothought is called "algebra". Monothought is a highly "trimmed" version of polythought. This has a consequence : ever increasing abstraction from the geometric representations of the real. Monothought, thus, leads to iconoclasm and de-representation of the real because it dissociates, "schizophrenises", the Undissociated into fragments. Monothought breaks relationships of wholes into artificially unconnected and static pieces, a bit like a broken puzzle, while polythought collects those pieces and connects them all, dynamically, while, at the same time, analysing all facets of these pieces.
