Monon Trail
The Monon Trail runs from
Indianapolis, Indiana
into
Carmel, Indiana
for 15.2 miles. The Indianapolis portion was completed in 1998/1999 and the Carmel portion was opened between 2001 and 2002. The trail orignally was a rail line that ran from Indianapolis all the way to
Delphi, Indiana
but was abandonded in the mid 1980's. In the future, the town of
Westfield, Indiana
will work on and complete the trail towards
Sheridan, Indiana
and eventually a small chance it will be completed to Delphi.
