Monica Anghel

Monica Anghel is one of the most famous singers of Romania. In 1996 she took part in the international preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Unfortunately the Romanian song "Rug pentru pacea lumii" was not chosen to go to the international final in Oslo. In the same year, she won the "Golden Stag" for Romania. There was more Eurovision luck for Monica when she could participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn together with Marcel Pavel. Their song "Tell me why" reached the 8th place, which was the best score ever for Romania.
