Monarchy Of Rome

The Monarchy of Rome is a period of Roman history surrounded in myth. There may be some basis in fact of a king of Rome, although the period may be a myth. According to legend, it lasted from 753-510 BC. The 243 year long age was, until 617 BC, almost a republic, as the people got to elect their king, although the king had complete control once in power. See: Kings of Rome
