Mocambique

Moambique (or Mozambique) is a city in Mozambique with a population of 42,207 (1997). It is located on Mozambique Island (locally Ilha de Moambique, or just Ilha), in the Mozambique Channel. Known for its diverse architecture, it served as the capital city during the Portuguese occupation of that territory.
