Mixer

• In telecommunications a mixer is a frequency mixer. You can use it to mix the waves received in more than one satellite dish.

• In audio applications a mixer is a device that sums two amplified/attenuated audio signals; and thus mixes the sound. A typical audio recording studio will have a mixing console.

• In beverage preparation, a mixer is a drink (usually non-alcoholic) that is mixed with another (usually alcoholic) in the hope that the result is more palatable.
