Mirette On The High Wire

Mirette on the High Wire is a children's book by Emily Arnold McCully, which won the Caldecott Medal in 1993.

Musical

1996 created Steve Barton in Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's world premiere, of the new musical Mirette, which is based on the childrens book Mirette on the High Wire, the title figure of Bellini. In further roles Kelly Maby were to be seen as Mirette and Jerry Vichi as Max. The Musical was specified from 1st to 25th August, 1996, at the Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Connecticut, USA. The music in addition comes from Harvey Schmidt, the lyrics wrote Tom Jones. Jones and Schmidt are also the authors of the musical with the longest running time in history, i.e. The Fantasticks. This off-Broadway musical runs now already for over 30 years.
