Minuet (Star Trek)

Minuet is a fictional character in the universe. She was played by Carolyn McCormick. She was a holodeck character developed by the Bynars to show Commander William Riker and Captain Jean-Luc Picard the enhanced programming the Bynars installed in the Enterprise computer. She had more depth than other holodeck characters, but served as a distraction for Riker and Picard so that the Bynars could steal the Enterprise. Minuet appeared in one other episode, "Future Imperfect", reproduced by Barash, an alien, in an attempt to trick Riker into believing a fictional future as reality. Minuet was shown to be Riker's wife in the fake future. Riker, knowing that Minuet was not real, realized that he was being deceived.
