Minnesota State Highway 61

Minnesota State Highway 61 is a highway in Minnesota. It is 151 miles in length.

Termini

Since 1997, Highway 61 begins at the northern terminus of Interstate 35 in Duluth, Minnesota and follows the North Shore of Lake Superior northeast to the U.S.-Canadian border near Grand Portage, Minnesota. The road becomes Ontario provincial highway 61.

Notes

The highway is a scenic highway and is part of the Lake Superior Circle Route that runs through Minnesota, Ontario, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This roadway was designated U.S. Highway 61 up until about 1990. This highway (including U.S. 61) is the road Bob Dylan referred to in Highway 61 Revisited. It is one of the only Minnesota state highways to carry the same number as a U.S. highway in the state.
