Millennium Train

The Millennium train is CityRail's (Sydney) newest member of its fleet, manufactured by EDi Rail, in Newcastle. Put into service to finally replace the aging Tulloch trailers (however they have not been completely eradicated and refurbished carriagers are often put into the Comeng/Goninan style trains), they have come under fire for causing several technical problems with the trains and with the Sydney rail network themselves, however this may or may not be caused by the actual rail infrastructure itself. The train is different from the Tangara (manufactured by Goninan), the style of train closest in comparison in its use of electronic route indicators, automated DVA (digital voice announcements) for mention of upcoming stops, higher capacity, and color scheme.
