Mill Hill East Tube Station

Mill Hill East tube station is a London Underground station in Mill Hill in North London. The station is on the the terminus of, and only station on, a branch of the Northern Line from Finchley Central station. It is in Travelcard Zone 4. The station opened as Mill Hill on the 22nd August 1867, and was then renamed London Mill Hill and Mill Hill for Mill Hill Barracks. The station closed on the 11th September 1932 and reopened under its present name on the 18th May 1941. The original intention was to extend the branch through to Edgware station, thus providing two routes to that station. This intention was later dropped, but the alignment can still be traced on the ground and on maps.
