Mile One Stadium

Mile One Stadium opened in 2001 as the home of the American Hockey League's St. John's Maple Leafs. The arena also hosted the 2002 AHL All-Star Game. The arena is located at the beginning of the Trans Canada Highway, hence the name, Mile One. The Leafs will be moving to Toronto, Ontario in 2005, and will be replaced in the arena by the St. John's Fog Devils, who will be an expansion team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The arena seats 6,250.
