Mike Nykoluk

Mike Nykoluk (Born: December 11, 1934, Toronto, Ontario, is a former NHL and AHL hockey player, and former head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He began his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1956, but could muster only 4 points in 31 games, and thus was shipped to minors. He then went on to have an extensive playing career for the Hershey Bears of the AHL playing for 14 seasons before retiring. He was then offered a job as assistant coach of the New York Rangers from 1978-1980, and as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs for three seasons ending 1984.
