Midden-delfland

Midden-Delfland (population : 17,072 in 2004) is a municipality in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands. The municipality covers an area of 49.38 km² (of which 1.93 km² water). It is the result from the merger as of January 1st, 2004 of the following: Maasland (population: 6,844), covers an area of 24.42 km² (of which 0.64 km² water). Schipluiden (population: 11,173), covers an area of 30.00 km² (of which 0.39 km² water). The municipality comprises settlements with these two names, as well as Den Hoorn and 't Woudt. Midden-Delfland itself is not the name of a settlement.
