Mid-america Intercollegiate Athletic Association

The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is a college athletic conference which operates in the midwestern United States (in the states of Kansas and Missouri). The conference was formerly known as the Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association, but changed its name when it expanded into Kansas. It participates in the NCAA Division II The MIAA sponsores 16 conference championships (8 mens, 8 womens)in these sports: baseball (mens), basketball, cross country, football (mens), golf (mens), soccer (womens), softball (womens), tennis, track and field (indoor and outdoor), and volleyball (womens). MIAA schools with additional sports (swimming and mens soccer) usually complete independently or as part of a nearby conference.

Member schools

Missouri-Rolla will leave the conference in 2005 to join the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Fort Hays State University has accepted a bid to join starting in 2006.
