Mick Hucknall

Michael (Mick) James Hucknall (born 8 June 1960 in Manchester) is the lead singer of the British band Simply Red. He has recently had the dubious honour of being voted Sky One's number 1 British celebrity minger. He is a prominent celebrity supporter of Tony Blair's Labour Party. Following the Asian Tsunami, Mick Hucknall made a public statement of support for the charity SOS Children and asked any of his fans who were able to, to consider following his lead supporting the charity. His statement saying "I am supporting the SOS Children charity, a charity that exists to provide homes, support, education and a chance for a normal life to orphaned children" is on the front page of the Simply Red Website, together with more appeal information.
