Michigan State Highway 46

Michigan State Highway 46, locally known as M-46, is an east-west highway between Muskegon, Michigan (junction Business Loop Interstate 96) and Port Sanilac, Michigan, junction Michigan State Highway 25, reaching Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. It nearly bisects the Lower Peninsula of Michigan latitudinally. Except for the uncharacteristic north-south segment that corresponds with the U.S. Highway 131 freeway between Cedar Springs and Howard City it is practically a due east-west surface highway, little of it divided. For motorists north of the Grand Rapids-Lansing- Flint corridor it is a major highway, in part because Saginaw is the largest city on its route. The highway meets 046
